Dreamis a limited-edition sculpture which takes its inspiration from a well-loved children's book that has special meaning in Michael's own life and home.

"This sculpture is probably the most personal of all for me. It is inspired by a children's book calledPapa, Please Get the Moon For Meby Eric Carle, which is a bedtime favorite in my house. In the story, a girl dreams of dancing with the moon and her father begins a wondrous journey to bring it down to her. It's a simple but magical story that reminds us all to dream...that in the world of our imagination, all things are possible. In my work, I chose to put a pillow and Piggy (my son's favorite stuffed animal that he can't sleep without) in the bed, suggesting that, while dreaming, the entire bed transforms into an immense ladder... tall enough to reach the moon." -M
